- sung to tune of It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas -

It's beginning to look a lot like rain storms,
pouring on our heads,
props will get very wet,
and weather may be cold,
everywhere where you go...

Hi all,

Yep, it's beginning to look like it will rain on us this weekend. It seems to
happen once in a while, and this may be the year for it. Here are some
simple notes to help you make the most of the possibly wet tournament day:

- Rain is the true spontaneous activity of your day. Talk to your team about it
and let them come up with a solution. As always, you can help, but they are
quite capable of coming up with a good plan. Put them in charge of keeping their
solution safe and they will impress you.

- There will not be indoor locations for all props. Be sure to plan ahead for
tarps, garbage bags, etc. to keep solutions dry.

- Everyone should expect a bit more confusion and a bit more noise. Please do not
allow the hallways near the competitions to become noisy.

- Parents and coaches, please be especially watchful of the teams. They will be
excited and focused on their own solutions, but they will also be in crowded
quarters. Help them to be considerate of those around them.

- Nothing is going to be perfect, but the officials, judges and volunteers will
be working hard to make this the best day possible. Please work with us to make
everything go smoothly.

- As a final reminder, rules for outside assistance are still in effect. If
parents or coaches break something, or if rain damages something, the team needs
to do the repairs. Even if someone else broke it, the team must fix it.
